As a rotund fellow myself I was a little aggrieved to read the results of a poll by slimming world that reveals fat people are losing out on jobs because employers presume they are lazy!
The poll also revealed that very overweight workers earn on average less than their slim counterparts with the same experience, training and qualifications.
Out of the 200 bosses that took part in the poll, over a quarter revealed they would turn down a candidate purely based on their weight. 10% admitted that they had already done so.
Although these results may seem absurd or comical they lift the veil on the shocking reality of discrimination in the workplace based on weight.
