I am familiar with the tragic story of 14 year old Kaylee McIntosh, who died while on an Army Cadet training exercise, Thompsons having represented her family at the Fatal Accident Inquiry.

The next stage of the process is now in motion as we have now raised legal proceedings against the Army and have sued them for £525,000 for the negligence that caused her death.

Negligence which arose from “numerous failures” as the Inquiry heard.

You may remember the circumstances; Kaylee died when the training boat she was on capsized in the Outer Hebrides and she was pinned underneath the boat because the lifejacket she was wearing was too big.

Thompsons are fighting not only for compensation but for justice and closure for Kaylee’s family.
