David Harper is an experienced firefighter based at Port Glasgow Fire Station. He was on routine duty, travelling in a fire brigade rescue jeep when it was involved in a crash with another vehicle. The fire service jeep was rammed from behind and Mr Harper, who was in the passenger's seat, suffered whiplash injuries to his neck and shoulders. Mr Harper who was a member of the Fire Brigades Union was encouraged by a colleague to seek the advice of Thompsons who act as the union's lawyers. Thompsons' specialist team of road accident lawyers obtained the medical evidence needed for Mr Harper's claim to be processed quickly. The insurers made Mr Harper an offer which he was very pleased to accept.
Commenting on the experience Mr Harper said "I was reluctant to pursue this claim but was encouraged to do so by a colleague who said I should speak with Thompsons who are my unions lawyers. I've had some bad experiences in the past with lawyers so didn't really have much expectation. But I found Thompsons to very polite and efficient. My case was settled very quickly indeed and I was really happy with the outcome. To be honest I can't find fault with the service from Thompsons. It just goes to show there are good lawyers out there."
