About Corinne

Corinne is proud to say that during her seven years at University studying the law she also worked part-time at McDonald's. She also volunteered during summers in multiple law firms to gain experience in the 'lawyering' world.

In August 2019, Corinne began her traineeship, leaving the family nest in Glasgow and moving to Edinburgh to work for Thompson's sister-firm Road Traffic Accident Law Scotland. She then decided to join Thompsons in their Glasgow office in May 2021.

Throughout Corinne's traineeship, she worked purely in Road Traffic Accident work, including working with injured motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, and motorcyclists. She also has experience in occupier liability and public liability claims including pedestrian slips and trips, and cyclists hitting potholes. Corinne has also been involved in many cases involving cyclists falling victim to tram lines.

Corinne has a large volume of cases and always aims to achieve great results in every case. Corinne always puts in 110% for each client to ensure full compensation.

Expertise

Corinne's main wish has always been to represent Pursuers rather than the corporate insurance companies -- another reason why the fit with Thompsons is so good, as we never work for corporate defenders. She has experience in both pre litigation and litigation work, with her main areas being Sheriff Court and All Scotland Personal Injury Court. Corinne has also been involved in Court of Session work.

She thoroughly enjoys helping those who have been injured through no fault of their own securing compensation for victims. Since moving to Thompsons Corinne has expanded her knowledge to both Workplace Accidents and fatalities, as well as continuing to grow in road traffic accidents, public and occupiers liability.

As a cyclist herself, Corinne is keen to represent injured cyclists because she regularly experiences the dangers of life on the roads. Also, as a driver, Corinne believes her work has made her more cautious when driving in the proximity of cyclists and more aware of the risks associated with being a cyclist.
