About Emma

Whilst studying for her LLB Honours at the University of Strathclyde, Emma worked in a number of litigation firms along with volunteering at the Strathclyde Law Clinic. Emma joined Thompsons in January 2018 as part of the Mass Litigation team whilst completing her Diploma in Professional Legal Practice. She commenced her traineeship within the specialist Survivors Team in August 2018.

Emma has continued in her role within the Survivor Team and works exclusively on historic child abuse cases.

Expertise

Throughout her traineeship with Thompsons, Emma has worked exclusively within the Survivors Department. She has specialised in civil litigation and applications to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority for survivors of childhood and domestic abuse.

Emma works as part of a specialist team, dedicated to obtaining justice for their clients. In her role, she is pursuing cases from a wide variety of institutions across Scotland.

She works closely with a number of charities, specialised in supporting survivors of childhood abuse. Through this, Emma is able to ensure her clients are treated with care and provides a trauma informed approach throughout the process.

She continues to campaign with ‘Take Justice’ to raise awareness of childhood abuse and to encourage survivors to come forward.

What Clients Say About Emma

I would like to thank all staff for all their hard work involving my case and getting justice for me. Without Thompsons Solicitors I would never have won my case. Their caring, understanding and fight will stay with me forever. I wish all of you every success for the future. SVR Client.

I found Thompsons Solicitors in handling my case to be very efficient from the first meeting to the last.  They are very understanding and exceptionally supportive every step of the process, they kept me informed.  I would recommend Thompsons as highly rates to undertake compensation claims. Their service is exceptional. SVR Client.

I say it with confidence...Above & Beyond.  What can I not say is too much to mention but Emma was outstanding and always very professional, Patience in my case was an understatement to say the least, but after 3.9 years she delivered the best outcome. Her standard of duty and commitment to see through right to end a positive and agreeable settlement was accepted in full, was due to her determination and professionalism above & beyond I cannot fault and I thank her fully from every aspect whilst involved in my case.  Sean
