About Kirsty

Kirsty obtained a BA in Business, Law and Marketing at the University of Strathclyde, prior to undertaking the accelerated LLB and the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice.

After graduating from the University of Strathclyde in 2015, Kirsty worked in a UK-wide law firm in Glasgow. She joined Thompsons in 2020 as a Solicitor within the Private Client team.

Expertise

As a Senior Solicitor working within the Private Client team, Kirsty has a varied workload which includes the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, the creation of Personal Injury Trusts and assisting families with the executry process.

Kirsty advises individuals and families on a wide range of personal and estate planning matters to ensure their affairs are well protected and organised in a tax-efficient manner.

She is experienced in Trust planning, including the drafting of Trust Deeds and the administration of Trusts. Kirsty also prepares and advises on tax-efficient Wills and handles matters relating to Adults with Incapacity, including Powers of Attorney.

Kirsty has also gained experience in estate and tax planning matters, and administering executry estates.
