About Maria

Maria has worked in various law firms across Scotland since 1996, specialising in personal injury work since 2009 both as a paralegal and a claims handler. She joined Thompsons' lung disease team in March 2016.

Carrying out the initial investigations in new pleural plaques claims, Maria's work includes obtaining statements, researching potential defenders and insurers, intimating claims, obtaining medical and other evidence and negotiating settlements whenever these can be achieved pre-litigation

Expertise

Having initially qualified as a paralegal in Family Law, Maria decided her interest lay in personal injury claims and she has since been gaining experience in that area following a relocation to Glasgow in 2009. She enjoys defender research and loves putting together a successful claim which brings about a satisfactory outcome for the client.
